How to used your new Rite Bobbin:

1. Spin the gold, cross-shaped tension adjuster counter-clockwise, until it comes off
2. Remove the black tension wheel
3. Slip the spool of thread on the exposed shaft, and insert one washer on each side if you prefer extra smoothness
4. Replace the black wheel and gold tension adjuster, then spin the gold adjuster clockwise until you feel it begin to "click"
5. Thread the bobbin normally
6. Rotate the gold tension adjuster clockwise for more tension and counter-clockwise for less. Each "click" makes an approximate, one-ounce change in tension
7. For temporary, extra tension, simply squeeze the bobbin or use a finger on the thread as a brake
